Autumn Break in the Peak District

The Peak District National Park is the ideal place for an Autumn break. There is so much to see and do, and Curlew cottage in the small hamlet of Windmill, between Tideswell and Bradwell, in the Hope Valley, is the ideal getaway.

Curlew cottage is perfectly situated for all that the Peak District has to offer, Whether you enjoy walking or cycling in the stunning countryside, perhaps around the beautiful Ladybower Reservoir, or visiting one of the many historic homes, such as Chatsworth, Haddon Hall or Eyam Hall, everything is within easy reach.

There is so much to enjoy and experience, the outside swimming pool at Hathersage is a special place where you can swim whilst enjoying the stunning view of Stanage Edge. You can enjoy a revitalising early morning swim or a relaxing night swim with music!

If you enjoy a little culture, the historic spa town of Buxton is only a 20 minute drive from Curlew cottage, an ideal place for an evening at the theatre. Buxton Opera House is a beautiful Edwardian theatre, originally opened in 1903, providing entertainment all year round, including the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival, musicals, pantomimes and other live performances, it is well worth a visit.
